The Gemini New Moon

The Ace of Wands and 10 of Cups echo the enthusiasm and freshness of the New Moon. Just like the sign of Gemini, the fire-water pair represents the dualism that makes us whole. This New Moon symbolizes the simultaneous end of outdated ideas we had for wellness and the start of living in ways that make us feel good. It's relieving to remember that the conceptual deaths and rebirths we experience are routine and natural; life is cyclical in that way.

Even though we and our circumstances are guaranteed to change, the option to live authentically lasts forever. Authenticity isn't the fight to remain the same; it's an accountability measure to stay honest throughout the changes. Humans are more similar to each other than they'd like to believe. That said, we're all blessed with our magic, and we travel paths explicitly paved for us. The Ace of Wands desperately wants us to honor our individuality within all relationships and circumstances. It pushes us to accept our identity within interpersonal relationships, and also within our relationship with money, work, and creative pursuits.

Our internal compass, better known as our intuition, is the calm and assured voice that lives deep in our gut. It is all-knowing and purposeful and won't steer us in the wrong direction. The internal compass will soothe growing pains and allow us to move in and out of situations with ease fluidly. It's not unusual to experience a bout of fear and anxiety when our compass pushes us in a direction we hadn't expected. Fear wants to control, but fear cannot control unknown outcomes and would argue that it's best to ignore your compass altogether.

Fear fights our internal compass to confuse and coerce us to stay the same. The 7 of Wands warns us that we'll end up living a life we're not meant to if we give up the fight. We'll benefit from consistent check-ins with ourselves because fear only wins if we lack focus. Please take a moment to realign our emotional health with our passions. We can't allow fearful feelings to hinder our ability to desires, and our passions shouldn't consume us to the point we are emotionally fried. The Gemini New Moon is upbeat and cerebral. It is excited to combine the intellect with matters of the heart. This lunar event an excellent time for finding balance within duality and your identity within partnerships.

It's important to observe our thoughts and stay present, decompressing is also necessary. It seems music is still the universal medicine for literally any event. My neighbors' playlists add a musical backdrop at moments I didn't realize I needed one. I could hear the tunes of Etta James from my bedroom this morning, I heard classic reggaeton through the walls of my kitchen as I refilled my cup. In the bathroom, another neighbor had Pop Smoke, Frank Ocean, and OutKast on shuffle. Blessings.
